Synopsis:
A state TV signal in China is hacked by members of a banned spiritual group. Amid the ensuing government crackdown, comic artist Daxiong flees. After meeting the lone hijacker who escaped, Daxiong’s art is woven with first-person accounts into a story of defiance, understanding, and healing. Eternal Spring is the first documentary chosen as Canada’s official submission to the Oscars.
